The modern furniture showroom Wohnbedarf was well-known in Joyce’s Zürich time. It was founded as Wobag in 1931 by Sigfried Giedion, Werner Max Moser, and Rudolf Graber, and later renamed Wohnbedarf. It moved to Talstrasse 11 in 1933.
