From 1966
Joyce was given an Ehrengrab (“an honorary grave”) by the City of Zürich. Today, James Joyce (1941), Nora Joyce (1951), Giorgio Joyce (1976) and Asta Jahnke-Osterwalder Joyce (1993) rest together. The American artist Milton Hebald designed the statue. Elias Canetti, another major writer who lived in Zürich, lies nearby.
